proper tennis game

What is the correct footwork for a tennis player? How to walk well on the tennis court? I will try to answer these questions to help you improve your tennis.

Tennis is very diverse and there are many different ways to move on the tennis court. Tennis is a complex sport that involves movement in all directions to hit and recover. The best tennis players are those who use the correct technique in their movements and those who can do it very quickly.

First, players must step before each shot. This sub-step is performed when the opponent hits the ball. It's a very small, short jump that puts you in a wide stance on the balls of your feet. Then the player will be ready to move in any direction. This is the foundation for good footwork. A step must be taken before each shot so that the player's feet are light and ready to catch the ball.

Tennis players rarely take more than 4 steps to hit the ball. So it is very important to be explosive and fast in the first step. Depending on where or where the ball bounces, the player will have to move differently. Being able to read your opponent's shots is key to moving well.

If the ball is going to bounce past you, usually one side step is enough to get you into the correct position. If the ball is deep, you need to move back quickly to hit the ball as you go. If you are late, you will still lose your balance when hitting the ball, and therefore the shot will not be effective.

For most shots, the player will have to move about 3 steps to the backhand or right side. The most efficient way is to move forward and diagonally from the ball. After the split test, step your front leg forward in the direction of the ball while kicking the ground with your other foot. This will give you an explosively fast first step. Once your front leg is back on the ground, push hard off the ground and bring your other leg out in front of you, then brace yourself and you should be able to hit the ball effectively.

If you have a short ball run, jump forward immediately after the step, avoiding a step back. This is a common mistake and a waste of time. Your first move should be in the direction of the ball.

Moving towards the ball is one thing, but now you need to recover well to be ready for the next shot. The most effective way to do this after hitting the ball is to take a cross step and then a side step back. This is faster and more effective than just doing a side step recovery.

All these different steps need to be well coordinated and, of course, they need practice. Many tennis players could play much better if they used the correct technique when catching and recovering. The best way to train movement is to do agility training on the court. Moving to the cone, shading, and recovering at the starting point are great exercises to improve your movement. Because there's no tennis ball, players can really focus on their moves and learn proper technique. After a while you don't have to think about it, it happens automatically and then you can use it to hit live balls.
